Michelle is a dynamic keynote speaker and a highly-regarded consultant in the areas of leadership, teambuilding, and experiential learning. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Kansas State University and a Master's degree in Experiential Education from Minnesota State University at Mankato. Michelle is currently partnering with Stephen M.R. Covey and his partners at CoveyLink to develop experiential initiatives for Mr. Covey's most recent book, The Speed of Trust.

VILLAGEFEST STREET FAIR

Locals and tourists happily mingle at the Palm Springs Villagefest held year round every Thursday evening on Palm Canyon Drive. An open-air street fair with more than 200 booths offering live music, fresh fruit stands, artists, craftsman, unique foods, and street entertainers to charm the crowd is a must for conference-goers. Admission is free and within walking distance from all of the BOOST conference hotels!

The Palm Springs Art Museum offers free public admission every Thursday evening from 4-8pm during downtown Villagefest! The Art Museum currently has 28 galleries, five art storage vaults, two sculpture gardens, four classrooms/resource centers, a 90-seat lecture hall, the 433-seat Annenberg Theater, a Museum Store and a Café in an architecturally significant building designed by architect E. Stewart Williams at the base of Mount San Jacinto. An adjacent Administration building contains offices and a 12,000-volume Library.

You’ll walk away from this Recess refreshed and with adrenaline pumping for the day after having tackled the rockwall, but you’ll also have gained 3 simple backpocket teambuilders and energizers to ensure that your students and staff are ready to take on challenges together. 2012 BOOST Conference Keynote Speaker
Dr. Milton Chen is senior fellow and executive director, emeritus at The George Lucas Educational Foundation (GLEF), a non-profit operating foundation in the San Francisco Bay Area that utilizes its multimedia website Edutopia.org and documentary films to communicate a new vision for 21st Century schools. He served as executive director of GLEF for 12 years. During his tenure, GLEF and its media brand, Edutopia, greatly expanded their editorial publishing efforts, including the award-winning Edutopia magazine. Edutopia.org is known as a destination Web site for educators and others interested in educational innovation and has won numerous honors, including the 2009 Webby People’s Voice Award for best education website.
